LOOK LOOK LOOK:
LAURIE'S 87 year old MOM'S 21-song CD JUST FINISHED and now available!! Written almost 60 years ago!
The songbird waits. She listens. She receives. She smiles. She writes. She shares.
Laurie Lee Lewis. Since 1988 has written, recorded and released over a hundred songs. On her own. No label. No promotion company. Hoping. Continuing. With many more songs in the que. Now, at 60, she reflects the many CDs, manuscripts, art, lessons of life, and healing... alas, all under one location, the singing farmer shares.
I am SO SO SO proud and excited to have just finished a new CD. NOT OF ME.
OF MY 87 year old mother DARLENE LITTLE! Found in a time capsule of almost 60 years.... 21 singer-songwriter songs that mom wrote in between changing diapers, growing a garden, singing out in a club, next door to her friend, Loretta Lynn. The two women stayed friends thru the years. TWO WOMEN. FIRST in NORTHWEST WA to have their own bands. ONE WOMAN went to Nashville, THE OTHER WOMAN stayed home and raised a family.
THE CD: THE OTHER WOMAN is available with actual CD autographed by my mama who now cannot walk and lives in a nursing home... MY GIFT TO HER while I still can!
ALL THE YEARS, she never made any money with her songs. NO AWARDS. NO articles. NOTHING. Raised us kids and cared for my unhealthy dad right til he died of Alzheimers. SO THIS IS HER WINDOW.
DARLENE LITTLE (Peachy) is her nickname :)
Laurie Lee Lewis, owner and operator of Heart To Heart farm. Organic produce, herbs, herb crafts, flowers, berries and has 3 miniature horses named Taco, Bella and Peter Pan. A loyal border collie named Buster Brown and 2 cats. Laurie has been growing foods and flowers for 15 years. And donates to local foodbanks.
Laurie's farmland has been in her family for over 65 years.
"Everything I do, I try to add a little but love ... something our world desperately needs more of. I hope my creations will lift another, inspired bring joy, bring hope."
love, Laurie

Everything from the seed in the soil, to a musical lyric that arrives in my brain... everything takes time, attention... I love dirt. I love a blank canvas. I love an empty recording track. Then, one seed, one brush stroke, one click of a camera, one strum of a guitar... and then, one more... watching magic happen. It teaches patience. Persistence. And the faith that we are receivers of beautiful things to create and share while we are here... if we open up to the wonderment!
