LAURIE'S 87 year old MOM'S 21-song CD JUST FINISHED and now available!! Written almost 60 years ago!
Harness The Wind, this beautiful 12- song CD takes the listener to far corners of the emotions. From the title track HARNESS THE WIND, of wishing we could have one more day with a loved one, to the vulnerable starting over again of TREMBLING HANDS... Switching to fun and sweet reggae HEART STRINGS, including her daughter's kindergarten class, to the rockabilly clever and fun WEST ON AN EASTBOUND TRAIN. Slowing it down to the perfect love song I LOVE YOU, switching to revealing, endearing THINGS ONLY MAMAS KNOW... Laurie pulls out all the stops on this CD and continues with the passionate, save a relationship DANCIN IN THE RAIN, to the romantic and tender DARE TO LOVE. She then spreads her wings of love to blast out the powerful song, MAY LOVE SPREAD, to the embracing of life, THE RIDE IS WORTH THE FALL. And taking it home with THE PERFECT Valentine's song if ever there was one ... BE MINE!
This Northwest Singer-songwriter never categorizes her music completely. She switches gears and loves many genres. Always with a sprinkle of inspiration and truth in her music. Laurie is like a quiet secret in the foothills where she lives and organic farms... and inspired to write her music.

Everything from the seed in the soil, to a musical lyric that arrives in my brain... everything takes time, attention... I love dirt. I love a blank canvas. I love an empty recording track. Then, one seed, one brush stroke, one click of a camera, one strum of a guitar... and then, one more... watching magic happen. It teaches patience. Persistence. And the faith that we are receivers of beautiful things to create and share while we are here... if we open up to the wonderment!
