This CD is nothing short of a miracle. Interesting story of the mind and soul:

Laurie had sustained a bad concussion. Grounded from farming, gardening, horses... things she loved ... One evening feeling depressed that she could not play her own songs... only standards, like Stand By Me and others... that she had performed hundred of times. BUT NOT HER OWN. Her brain would not remember. Very hard time... but then, just before Christmas, somehow, Laurie wandered into her studio, scribbled out the words to ONE TO ONE (connected to each other) and managed to record the title song. Weeks later, as the fog lifted from her brain, totally unaware of that evening of writing and recording... Laurie turned on her recorder of found ONE TO ONE in its entirety! Even had harmony.

ONE TO ONE became yet another project to quiet her body so her mind could heal using the one passion she did almost subconsciously and somehow during the next few months, Laurie produced THIS BEAUTIFUL CD!

It went on to serve 5 charities!

It also included the amazing song she had written years prior, called WE ARE ONE.

The CD took on a spiritual healing wholeness energy... and 16 songs were born!

WE ARE ONE ended being monumental when Laurie decided to film a music video (on youtube now)... she thought it would be amazing to get a few different languages from around the world to speak the powerful and connected words. To her surprise... 19 languages were found right in her own county. Making the song amazing!!!

Song after song, Laurie listened, waited, wrote and produced. Mixing and mastering such a huge project took everything she had... but it helped her heal and serve the world. Both medicines.

The song SPEAK TO ME quiets the soul and suggests reaching to a higher power for guidance. THE JOURNEY IS THE JOURNEY, while fun and peppy, is so full of wisdom of life, HEAVEN HERE ON EARTH truly is a beautiful arrangement of gratitude, MIDDLE OF THE RIVER relaxes the mind a bit again with gratitude and hope, A BRAND NEW WORLD is so encouraging to all who might feel distraught at the world's conditions.. suggesting unity not separation to heal... FORGET ME NOW stands alone and because a beautiful YOUTUBE music video tribute, to fallen soldiers, and all lost loved ones and, ourselves when we feel lost,. very beautiful.
